Yoahn Cabaye’s goal just after the hour mark consigned Manchester United to their 2nd home defeat in less than a week.

Yesterday Manchester United lost their second home game in a row 1-0, the losses to Everton and Newcastle respectively, following the game United were booed off the pitch. This angered me greatly. United are still 9th in the PL and are still capable of winning the league if they get their act together but get booed off after 2 losses in a row? It’s fickle fans like this that anger me, of all the millions of football fans across the UK, they have got it incredibly easy. Many trophies, one of the biggest worldwide sports names and a very good team. Take this into account of my team Scunthorpe United, no game yesterday after being knocked out of the FA Cup to our non league biggest rivals, Grimsby Town. All of the fans in our league would kill to be in the position that United are in.
Next topic is Moyes himself. United ‘fans’ are calling for his head. I call them ‘fans’ because they’re never English, live in obscure places like the North East of India and are called Salim Pravadumrong. Moyes was never going to do anywhere near as good as Fergie, it would be literally impossible to replicate the glory that Fergie achieved. I also firmly believe that Moyes hasn’t inherited a world class squad. I think that Rooney and Van Persie are the only true world class players in that team, the rest are good PL players, nowhere near the standard of quality that is packed within Man City’s squad. Moyes needs time, just like Fergie got, to build his own team and get them playing well together, Fergie got about 3/4 years if i’m not mistaken so why shouldn’t Moyes? I’m adamant that in the future he will bring success to United, however I must mention that because I am also a Leeds supporter I hope he fails miserably in his task to bring United glory and leaves them a midtable PL team at the very best.
So please United fans, bide your team with Moyes, don’t be fickle and call for his head after 5 PL defeats all season and get behind your team. They need you and in the future Moyes will bring you trophies.
